By observing your child's behaviour, for example while playing, you can see what interests them most. What kind of toys he likes to play with, whether he likes to spend time actively, or rather quietly watch books or build blocks. Maybe he likes to sing, dance, or maybe the greatest joy gives him drawing, painting with paints or sticking with different plastic masses? If you notice specific interests and abilities of your child, help her to nurture them and support their development. See how to support your child's development and develop his or her talents.
We all know that children develop and learn through play. Choosing the right toys allows children not only to learn but also to develop their talents and interests.
If your son loves sports then a great toy for him will be a ball, goal, tennis racket, skates or swimming accessories. For girls who enjoy art classes at a kindergarten or school, it is worth buying a painting set with an easel or a children's potter's wheel for clay carving. Musically talented children will love musical instruments, a children's keyboard or a karaoke set. Any toy that matches your child's interests will help develop his or her talent.
Younger children, who are not always able to organize their own fun on their own, can count on the support of their parents. There are many creative games that will interest your child, allow him or her to discover his or her interests and develop them. If a child does not know what interests him or her yet, it is worth to start with games developing manual skills and stimulating imagination.
If you don't have any paints or cakeoline at home, come up with an idea and make a salt mass. All you need is a glass of salt, a glass of flour and a little water. Just making mass will be great fun for children. The mass resembles the consistency of a cake oven, so you can make various figurines, caskets, dishes or cars out of it. After the joint sticking together, leave your products to dry and harden. The next day you can paint and decorate them, it will be an additional attraction and another great fun.
If your child spends a lot of time in the kitchen and watches closely how you prepare meals, bake or cook, maybe it is the culinary talent that develops. It is worth cultivating and developing it, for example, by encouraging it to cook together.
To start with, think of a lunch menu, preferably something simple such as a salad, pizza or pancakes. Remember to wear aprons and wash your hands. Then prepare the necessary ingredients and get to work. Your baby can throw the chopped ingredients into a salad bowl, mix and season or, for example, pancakes with his favourite jam or cheese.
You can suggest that your child choose what he or she wants to prepare and which ingredients they want to use. The point is to let the child realize his or her ideas and culinary visions. Preparing lunch together is great fun and can turn into a true love of cooking.
If the child already has specific interests, it is worth supporting him or her in them and let him or her develop and polish his or her talent. Additional activities such as dance, instrumental, swimming, tennis, English, robotics and photography classes will help you to do this. We have at our disposal such a wide range of activities for children that we can easily find those that match the interests of our child.
Of course, the role of the parent is not only to enrol the child in specific activities. It is also very important to support and assist in systematic participation in classes. Some children will be determined in their approach to classes, they will be so interested in them that they will not need the help of a parent in the consistent performance of additional duties, but some children will need it on the contrary. Sometimes a strong mobilisation is needed and parental participation can be very helpful here, especially when activities and additional duties become boring or require more commitment from the child.
Remember, however, that excessive stubbornness on the part of the parent is also not good. If your child wants to give up school and it's not just a temporary whim, you have to let him do it. Childhood is the time to try everything and let your child test different things that interest him or her.
Holidays are a very good time to develop children's talents and interests and although there are no extra activities during the summer holidays, you can organise your child's time in a different way. Holiday thematic camps are an ideal idea for a child to develop and combine learning new skills with fun and relaxation.
During dance, sports or language camps, the child is under the excellent care of qualified staff of caretakers and coaches. He has an organized time, so he's not bored, and he's polishing his talent. Another advantage is the change of environment and getting to know a new group of peers, which children will surely like. This combination of learning and fun is a great way to spend a holiday for kids of all ages.
