It is a product for topical use in the case of minor post-traumatic conditions, which protects blood vessels and strengthens capillaries.

What does Arcalen contain and how does it work?

The ingredients of the preparation are arnica flower extract and marigold, as well as chestnut bark extract. They have a protective effect on blood vessels, reducing the permeability of the capillary walls. In addition, the preparation also has an anti-acoustic and anti-edematous effect. It also improves the elasticity of blood vessel walls, showing anti-inflammatory and healing effects. It is most commonly used for the treatment of oedemas and haematomas after minor injuries.

When to use Arcalen?

Traditionally, the preparation is used in case of minor injuries in order to accelerate healing of small subcutaneous haemorrhages, i.e. bruises. It is also suitable for swelling after mechanical injuries (e.g. bruises) or muscle pain after intensive sports training.

When is it not allowed to use this preparation?

It happens that despite indications for use of the preparation, it is not always possible. If you are allergic to any of the preparation's components, you may not use it. It is also not recommended to use the preparation in case of hypersensitivity to other plants of the astrowate family.
Do not use on damaged skin.
It is not recommended to use the preparation in children under 12 years of age.
It is not recommended to use the preparation also in pregnant women or breast feeding women.

Dosage of Arcalen

The preparation has the consistency of an ointment, so it should be applied topically to the skin as recommended. If any doubts arise as to the way of using the preparation, it is necessary to consult a physician.

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age:

- small injuries (bruises, bruises): the affected area should be lubricated several times a day
- massage after intensive physical activity: apply 3-4 ointments (about 5 cm of the preparation)

The ointment should not be used in children under 12 years of age, as there are no data concerning the safety of use in this group.

Can other preparations be used in parallel?

Tell your doctor about other medicines you are taking, even if you bought without a prescription.
There are no data concerning the interaction of the preparation with other drugs.

What side effects may accompany it?

Like other medicines, Arcalen may also have side effects, although they do not occur in all people who use this preparation. Usually, the benefits of using the ointment are greater than the effects of an undesired effect.

Undesirable effects may include local hypersensitivity, i.e. rash or redness of the skin. In case of their occurrence, the use of this ointment should of course be discontinued.
